ARRIS International (NASDAQ:ARRS) said Friday that its VIP5662EW Ultra-HD set-top box has been chosen by Portugal Telecom for its recently launched MEO 4K service in Portugal. “We selected the ARRIS VIP5662 as the centerpiece of our new MEO 4K service, because it combines ARRIS’s leadership in set-top design with future-ready 4K technology,” said Portugal Telecom exec Luis Nasciment. “Once more MEO is innovating and our ongoing collaboration with ARRIS is bringing a new era of 4K content to our MEO subscribers and making our services the center of their in-home entertainment.” Financial details were not disclosed.
The stock increased 1.07% or $0.29 during the last trading session, hitting $27.35. About 1.59 million shares traded hands or 7.43% up from the average. ARRIS International plc (NASDAQ:ARRS) has risen 17.70% since February 8, 2016 and is uptrending. It has outperformed by 1.22% the S&P500.
