Dark Souls 2 Mod Hides Cursor in PC Version

May 3, 2014 - By Jan Rainey

This time there is no issue with the game, but still some additional bells and whistles sounds a good welcome for the Dark Souls 2. Peter “Durante” Thoman has been still busy working on a mod for the game similar to what he did for the Dark Souls.

Thoman earlier made DSFix for the Dark Souls original PC version.

The new version of mod is dubbed as Alpha 4 and it helps in hiding the mouse cursor in the game permanently. Without it the Dark Souls 2 looks neater and also it now runs in border-less full screen windowed mode. However, the cursor will pop up when user wants.

The other fixes that come with the Alpha 4 are:

– Improvement in the AO shadier depth calculation.

– AO issue now working fine with even non-4:3 resolution.

– Effect quality has been increased for non-4:3 resolution.

– Upgrade SMAA to latest version.

– Implement stencil masking for SMAA.

Meanwhile, publisher of the game too has listed couple of issues with the PC version and has confirmed to be working on those and release fixes soon.

Apart from the PC version, Dark Souls 2 is also available on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The game is developed by From Software and published by Bandai Namco.
