Game Of Thrones Season 5 Premieres in Less than a Month, New Poster Unveiled!

March 2, 2015 - By Jan Rainey

Game Of Thrones season 5 is coming in just about a month, and many people are excited for what the upcoming season will bring. A promo poster has been released, and we can see just how much bigger the dragons have actually gotten. Daenerys Targaryen’s dragons have all grown up, and they look huge, particularly to Tyrion, who can be seen facing them in the promotional poster.

We also find out why Jonathan Pryce, who will play High Sparrow in the upcoming season, decided to take on the role of the character. Pryce said that he’s never been fond of swords and sorcery. This would normally mean something like Game Of Thrones would be entirely out of his ballpark. But, Pryce said that his agent told him the character he would be playing would be an influential one, which is why he got involved in the first place.

Once Pryce started work on Game of Thrones, he said he enjoyed the organization the crew had, and was impressed with the story telling so he himself has become a fan of the show. Pryce has said he has never read George R.R. Martin’s books but had read the script which was given to him. He said that one of the actors on set didn’t know he was going to die when he did, and was unhappy when it happened. Although many people involved with the show have said that Game Of Thrones season 5 will be somewhat different from the books, it should still follow the general trajectory, so we have a decent idea of what will happen with the show.

Arya Stark should have some more interesting moments. This is the season she heads to Braavos to train as an assassin, so we should see some more killing from her. Jon Snow will have many important decisions to make at the wall because Winter is finally here. The dragons Drogon, Viserion, and Rhaegal are basically big enough to get their mother back home to Westeros already.

Cersei will also have her fall at some point during season five. It will most likely come at the hands of Jonathan Pryce’s character, High Sparrow, which should be an interesting moment. We also know that Ramsay Bolton will become even more hated. He’s slated to marry Arya Stark in the upcoming season.
