Lego The Hobbit Equipped With Standard Combat And New Twists

May 3, 2014 - By Jan Rainey

Released earlier this year, Lego The Hobbit is the second major Lego game after The Lego Movie in February and Lego Marvel Super Heroes that hit the stores in November last year.

With polished look and standard combat the game has maintained sequences of good puzzles that need to be solved by gamers and also to create things. Those who have past experience of playing the earlier Lego games may do well as the missing pieces are quite familiar along with several elements of the gameplay.

Available on PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and Wii U, Lego The Hobbit offers plenty of features to combat any boredom as it is mimicking the Hollywood movie. There’s a sense of grandeur to the surroundings such as goblins, dragons and majestic giant eagles.

As a whole there is nothing groundbreaking in the game, but one will not be disappointed if is a fan of The Hobbit story or has enjoyed past Lego games.

However, the gameplay seems to be highly polished on the next-gen consoles. Though it covers the usual stuff mostly from smashing up the scenery to collecting of Lego studs and from unlocking different characters to using varying abilities, the game has got some fresh ideas and some new likeable twists too.
