Star Wars Episode 7 has Rumored Leaks, J.J. Abrams Wishes the Movie Released Earlier!

March 2, 2015 - By Jan Rainey

Star Wars Episode 7 is well under way, and many fans are questioning what the film’s opening scenes will look like. There has been a small leak regarding the movie’s plot. But, we don’t know if the leaked rumors are true or not. J.J. Abrams has commented that releasing footage for the movie has been a struggle in the past.

We are still waiting for a full-length trailer for Star Wars Episode 7: The Force Awakens. A few months ago, an 88-second trailer was released for the movie, but the trailer hardly contained any new footage for the movie. Abrams says that they have to be careful with what they put out, so they don’t turn off any fans to the movies. Disney’s CEO, Bob Iger, said that the teaser trailer was just a way to quell the public’s demand for a glimpse at the movie. J.J. Abrams himself wants fans to be mostly in the dark about the movie until its release on December 18th.

He has allegedly requested that Disney move the film’s release to the summer to avoid having potential spoilers leaked. But, that probably won’t happen because Disney has another summer blockbuster scheduled. They also own Marvel Studios, which has the Avengers: Age of Ultron releasing this summer. Both movies most likely have overlapping audiences, and releasing them too close to each other would surely cause them to cannibalize each other’s sales. The next most probable event for fans to see a Star Wars Episode 7 trailer would be at the fan-made Star Wars Celebration event.

The event takes place on April 16th. There have been a number of alleged leaks regarding the films plot. But, no one working on the movie has confirmed the validity of the rumors. So, it could be all hearsay for all we know. The Millennium Falcon, which was seen in the teaser trailer, will allegedly be making several stops throughout the universe in the upcoming film.

More than one major character will allegedly die at some of these stops. The biggest rumor is that Han Solo himself will die, maybe at the hands of Kylo Ren. Some people believe that Ren is the son of Solo and Leia. By having Ren kill Solo, it will fulfill the prophecy of a mentor being killed off sometime in the new trilogy.
